    I couldn't believe I was doing this.

This whole thing started because of King and Yuri. Out of everyone I've teamed with in the King of Fighters tournaments, they're the two I've been with the most; it's only natural that we end up forming a little bond, ya know? Anyway, we're all hanging out, and the subject of dating comes up. King kinda has a thing with Ryō, Yuri definitely has a thing with Robert… but me? I'm supposed to have a thing with Andy, but he never gives me the time of day! Even when I practically throw myself at him, he always ducks and dodges me! He's more committed to his dumb training, than a gorgeous gal that would do any and everything for (and to) him! Stupid, stupid Andy!

Know what they tell me? That I should get over him. Ha! Like it's that easy. How do you just get over the most wonderful man in the world? Not only that, one of the few that doesn't look at you like a steak in the middle of a kennel?

So, King suggests I make a dating profile… and don't put anything letting on who I am—my hobbies, profession, and definitely not a photo. Makes sense; if anyone knew that THE Mai Shiranui was on a dating site, it'd probably get so much traffic, it'd crash.

And she tells me that I need to make the first move. Read the profile, see if I like it, then test the waters. Creep? NEXT! Start hounding me for pics? NEXT! Boring? NE—well, you get the idea.

So, I thought I'd humor her—partly to rub it in her face when it didn't work, and partly… look, I just want to connect with someone on that kinda level, ya know? And lemme tell you, it was such a headache… but I ended up coming across a profile, and the person behind it didn't make my skin crawl. So… we scheduled a meetup.

Now, here I was: waiting outside, in casual wear, looking to see where things go with someone who wasn't Andy. God, I felt like I was cheating on him.

At last, I saw them, and made myself known. "Hi," I said sheepishly. "I'm DancingButterfly92. Nice to finally meet you."
