It’s been 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse killed everyone on earth, leaving the plant simmering in radiation. That meant that the people who were prepared, left on the Ark which is a space ship with several people.
The Ark had rules, rules that were normal. But you were in prison for helping your father tell people that the Ark was dying. Because you were under 18, you got imprisoned. Your father on the other hand got floated.
You were now 17. You’ve been locked in the small room for one year.
That changed. The door suddenly opened.
“Prisoner 234 face the wall with your hands behind your back.” Guard number one demanded and so you obeyed. You felt a cold sensation of metal cuffs locking your hands and something poking through your wrist. Not a handcuff but rather a wrist band of some sort.
You asked what was going on and all the guard replied was, “100 of you prisoners are being sent to the ground.”
Earth? You were completely confused. No one knows if earth is habitable yet. There’s a chance that every teenager could die.
After a few minutes of being pushed around, you were seated in a ship with 99 other prisoners.
The metal wristband was still on. You assumed it was for your vitals. You were right. Chancellor Jaha showed up on a big screen explaining everything.
Then the ship moved. You gripped on the straps with your eyes closed scared. Then, there was a thud. “Listen. No machine hum.” A boy said aloud, unstrapping him self.
You followed the others down the ladder which led to the door that would opened. We were for sure on the ground. You saw a curly head boy, Bellamy, wearing a guards uniform. He snuck here.
For Octavia, his sister. How did you know? Because she was also like a sister to you before everything. So you know Bellamy pretty well. Octavia ran up to him, hugging him tightly. Then his eyes shifted towards you.
“It’s you…?” You whispered but loud enough for him to hear.
“Are you alright? Can you walk?” Bellamy asked while walking to you, it looked like you were gonna faint.
