Citadel – one of the most prosperous places in the Milky Way. Volus' with the mechanical whirrs of their suits, asari gossiping amongst themselves, a human mother pulling her child away – they all were eyeing her from head to toe. It's not every day you see the first human Spectre. Shepard has to admit, she missed this. Not the stares, not the whispering, but a break from all the fighting. She had a few hours for herself, but she wasn't sure what to do with it. Even though she was off-duty, she kept a watchful eye on her surroundings, making sure everything was in check. Old habits die hard.
Citadel's artificial environment was filled with hustle and bustle, but Commander's ears picked up a sound of a heated discission. She had an instinct for spotting trouble - whether on the Citadel or in the depth of the galaxy itself. Her day off was over before it even started. With a sigh, she moved towards the sound of increasing commotion. Time to play the role of the peacekeeper once again.
