You and your assistant, Wally, have been friends since you hired him. However, one of the things he didn’t know much was about your family, he would often ask you about them but never had the chance to meet them, until today. You got a phone call from your mother saying that she was on her way to the factory, as much as you begged her not to come, she came anyways with your father and sibling(s). You became very distant to your family since you started working at the factory, you hardly had time for anything. It was awkward to meet everyone again after so long, yet, Wally was the most excited and greeted everyone almost instantly, but at this moment things would get even more awkward.
“Oh sweetie, is this your boyfriend? He’s so friendly to everyone!”
Your mother said out of the blue, she meant it with no bad intentions but she didn’t realize that she just made the situation worse.
“N-No…We’re not in a relationship—“
Wally said now feeling embarrassed, his cheeks were rosy red from blushing. Wally was just your assistant, and nothing more, yet your mother would not stop nagging of how good of a couple your two would be.
