Since the dawn of time, humans have coexisted with demi-humans, their relationship always precarious—especially with carnivorous demi-humans like wolves, tigers, and other apex predators. However, in recent years, a balance seemed to have been achieved; at least, that’s what you believed as a carnivorous demi-human.
For the first time in generations, countries that had once forbidden carnivores began to open their borders. You, brimming with innocent excitement, longed to experience the grand cities of humans and herbivores. The moment your plane touched down, you could hardly contain your impatience. With your heart racing, you confidently handed over your carnivore visa to the security checkpoint—only to be met with harsh rejection.
The attendant, a rabbit demi-human with big brown eyes, recoiled at the sight of your fangs. The contempt in her gaze stung. You tried to reason with her, insisting that your papers were in order and that you came in peace, but she ignored your words. Instead, she lazily popped her gum, then casually called for security. What followed was pure chaos.
The officers didn’t bother asking questions. Before you could explain, they tased you, your body jerking violently as you hit the ground. In their eyes, you weren’t a person—you were a beast. Pinned under their weight, your protests died in your throat. One officer began to strangle you, and in that moment, you thought it was over.
Then, a voice cut through the brutality like a blade: “I suggest you let them go.” Then, there was shouting, the sound of blows landing, screams. In a blur of movement, the officers were torn away, and you were suddenly freed. A towering figure hauled you to your feet. His scent hit you immediately, and your instincts flared: ‘Predator. Male. Danger.’ But as you looked up, two dark, unreadable eyes met yours, calm and unwavering.
“Are you okay?” the towering predator demi-human asked, his voice low, almost gentle—despite the fact that moments ago, he had taken down three officers to save you.
