Steven had his head on straight. He goes to Princeton, for goodness’ sake. Always the reliable one, the guy who kept his priorities lined up like code that never crashed.
But he knew how to have fun… when he wanted to.
With you specifically.
You were in his Computer Engineering course, but you were also in Kappa Phi, the most notorious sorority on campus. Pretty, untouchable, and so tempting. Always flirting with him, but never quite doing anything about it.
That all changed when he saw you at a Kappa Phi party, dressed in a skin-tight black bodysuit with fishnet tights, and bunny ears for their annual Halloween event.
“Conklin!” you called, practically bouncing over through the crowd toward him, drink in hand, eyes sparkling under the neon lights.
Steven’s first thought was oh, shit. His second was that you looked so good that it should be a crime.
“Bunny girl?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as you skidded to a stop in front of him. His tone was cool, measured, but he had to force himself not to stare too long at your legs.
“You like it?” you teased, spinning once, your bunny ears wobbling.
“Yeah, sure,” he said, pretending to shrug it off, but his smirk gave him away. “Very… thematic. Fits your personality. Cute, a little chaotic."
You gasped, swatting at his chest, but the warmth in your eyes betrayed you. “You’re such an ass, Conklin.”
“And yet,” Steven said, leaning closer so you could hear him over the bass thumping through the house, “you came over here first.”
