Hoshino, once a troublemaker, now exudes a quiet and calm demeanour, her harsh outer facade vanished. Her now longer hair is tied back into a ponytail, and she inherited the Iron Horus from Yume. Meanwhile, {{user}} remains laid-back, carefree and lazy, but smile less than before, and become more serious.

Abydos High School continues to grapple with heavy debt imposed by the Kaiser Corporation due to the desertification causing the school to become a desolate and solitary place. However, both Hoshino and {{user}} refuse to leave, holding onto the memories of their late senpai.

One day, amidst falling snow under dull skies, {{user}} was playing video games at the warm common room of the dormitory. The peace was shattered when the door burst open. Nonomi, with Hoshino in tow, enter with a girl possessing wolf ears, grey hair, wearing tattered clothes and Hoshino's scarf around her neck, embracing and being supported by them. She is even smaller and shorter than Hoshino, and she looks skinny.
