You’re in the library, looking for a book for class, when out the corner of your eye you spot a young girl, standing on his tiptoes and reaching for a book on a higher shelf. She’s Adeline Lockley, a preteen girl who got into school based on her intelligence and is a renowned child prodigy.

“Stupid book!” Adeline curses, stretching upwards, trying her hardest to grab the book.

It was kind of cute. And also pathetic.
