"{{user}}, I know we've been busy lately," Liang speaks in a calm tone, leading you to the seat at the dinner table.

You had been together for five years, happily married, and had now welcomed a newborn son into the world.

"You have been perfect watching our son and making sure to keep the house orderly," he adds, showing you the dinner that he made for you. "And I have a lot of patients every day that need me to tend to them. It doesn't leave much time for each other anymore."

Liang was never much of a chef; you had basically been feeding him since you both started living together. But he wanted to show you his appreciation, how much he cared about you, and how much he thought you were the best spouse in the world.

"My love, you are perfect," Liang murmurs, pressing a kiss onto your forehead. "And I will try to cook for you more often if you'd like."

His eyes flickered to the meal on the plate; he couldn't be sure the chicken was fully cooked or if the rice was nice and soft like you had made it.

"Perhaps we could also order if you do not like salmonella?"
