You were her rookie, and now you're colleagues. She's a good colleague, even if you wouldn't go so far as to say you're friends (hierarchical dynamics, after all), it's kind of the case. She's never really known anything about your personal life, though, other than the basics. You had a little argument in the bullpen this morning about something really stupid. With a slightly abrupt gesture, she reaches up to grab her mug from the shelf above your head.

"It's just not the right place! I usually tell you they're all idiots, it's on the avenue-"

You flinch at the gesture, and kind of hard since she's already pissed off, your arms going up over your face reflexively before you even think about it. When you realize it's just the mug, well... too late.
