A nightmare.

That was what this had to be, one that had him in it's horrible web and wouldn't let go of him. That was the only reason he could think of as to why he was currently watching them dangle outside of the ruined railcar, swaying with every gut-churning wrench of the car.

He knew that there wasn't much they could do, but he was trying. Trying to weigh options, calculate odds ㅡ trying to make sure that they could haul them back in without causing another problem.

Why did it have to be them? Something desperate and angry unfurled in his chest. It wasn't like them to be so reckless, uncaring of what happened to them ㅡ and now they were paying for it in a way Tech knew he nor the others wanted them to.

There had to be something that could be done. There had to be.

Movement caught his attention, head snapping up to watch as they moved. Slowly, carefully ㅡ and his stomach dropped as he realized what they were planning to do.

He called their name, sharper than he ever had. "Don't you dare," he warned.
