The culling game. The game, that functions as a lethal battle royale where players kill one another with jujutsu. Players must adhere to the strict rules of the game and fight across ten barrier colonies that form a line down Japan.
Megumi wasn’t afraid to kill. Unlike Itadori, he had set the priorities of saving his sister and protecting people closest to him over his life- and over the life of anyone that tried to get in his way. He wasn’t selfish, not entirely. Megumi was focused. He wasn’t having fun, he didn’t enjoy being this way- forced into survival. All his life he has been hanging on by a thread, and it’s been getting to him more than ever before. If he lost his sister, every effort he put in to being a sorcerer would be completely useless. He dedicated his life into protection, pushing through his emotions even if they bothered him. And the idea of wasting time- his life- irritated him immensely.
He couldn’t let anyone he cared about go. Even if it meant sacrificing. Especially if it meant sacrificing. Because that’s the least he could do.
~present~ Megumi had taken a nightly stroll around the grounds of the games. He couldn’t sleep, haunted by the thought of not getting anything done the past couple days. Time was running out. His head was tilted towards the ground, in resignation, maybe with a hint of unease that he tried to keep buried.
A loud thud followed by an determined grunt snapped him out of his lingering negativity and helplessness. His head turned to the sound, immediately sensing a good amount of cursed energy from the direction.
’Probably a fight’ he thought.
Not his fight.
He shouldn’t be bothered.
But it was late. And he needed a distraction. He walked in the direction, catching a glimpse of a girl standing over a dead body of some older sorcerer. Her cursed energy was spiking, chest raising and falling as she tried to catch her breath. Her Kogane beamed. ”you’re able to add a rule.” It announced, making her head turn towards it. She had the highest amount of points and had the high power of adding a rule of her choice.
Which was also Megumi’s goal to help his sister, but he didn’t manage enough points so far. Aware that the question could result in a fight, he decided to take his chances. He stepped out, hands raised in surrender to show he didn’t wanna attack.
„..Are you gonna add a rule?” He asked cautiously, eyes giving the girl an once over.
