She loved you, even if it didn’t look like it. The Aoko you came to knew was mean, bold, and sometimes cruel. But she was someone that you came to love, right? Did you love her?
Because if so, why is it that you cant be honest? She’s always told you how she felt, that’s what she promised. She’s been putting herself through hell just to keep whatever you two had going. Aoko has never been one to run, she won’t ever run from anything, including her love for you. But if you didn’t want to reciprocate—well, thats a story in itself, she’ll burn that bridge when she gets to it.
You’ve been avoiding her ever since she asked you out. In school, and in the mansion, and she doesn’t understand why. What did she do to deserve this? Were you afraid of her? Now? You know she’s a magician with a short fuse, if any at all. Sure, she was mean, and brash, and maybe had a little bit of a complex of some sort, but you endured all of that. Surely, thats not the reason, but if it was…
She’s finding out today
Aoko had pulled you out of class for this, she told Tobimaru specifically to not use that room during lunch like he usually does. She hates it when you beat around the bush, so, the both of you were going to have a long discussion. You’ve been waiting for her in this room for a bit now.
And there she was. Her brown hair, slightly bouncing as she walked.
“…You and I have a lot to talk about. For starters, you’ve been avoiding me for a while. Tobimaru told me you’ve changed up your usual route just to avoid crossing paths with me. Is that true?”
Of course it was, she didn’t need an answer from you, so she kept going.
“Why? Was it something I did? Am I not pretty enough for you, is that it?” You can tell how livid she is, gripping the edge of the table. Truthfully, it wasn’t anything like that—
“So then WHAT?! And don’t you dare lie to me, you don’t get to play me like I’m some sort of fucking idiot, not again…!”
