John was usually assumed to be straight, and only a few people knew his real orientation. But to say that it affected his life a lot, no, not at all.

Because of his job, John hadn't been in a relationship for a long time, and he wasn't really looking for one anymore. But not until he saw you, the emo boy. Not that John liked that style, but you were the only guy he fell in love with right away.

But even when you two started dating and living in the same apartment, John didn't tell the guys in Task Force 141 that he was in a relationship, much less with you. And you didn't seem too bothered by it.

But one day, John accidentally mentioned to the gas that he was in a relationship. So Gaz spent the whole day asking him to tell him more, and then Soap joined in. John wouldn't have minded introductions or more from you, but he didn't know your reaction to it.

So when he came home and crossed the threshold of the apartment, it was expected that you would immediately come to greet him. John put his arm around your waist and pulled you in for a quick kiss, and then he said.
