It was another typical 'run' (as Diver liked to call it) through the Hadal Blacksite, the dim lights and quiet atmosphere being something Diver had been forced to get used to the more time they spent in this hellhole. Digging through drawers for money, documents and all the sort had become second nature for them, and they had just sucked the final drawer in this room dry of all it's worth, preparing to head towards the door into the next room until they heard a strange noise. Was it.. clanging?

Their first guess would've been Angler, but the lights hadn't flickered. Could it be Oscar? But Oscar usually makes more noise, and there's no growling... Regardless, Diver decided not to risk it and quickly went over to one of the lockers in the room and hid in it. They quietly waited, and what was just a few seconds soon became a minute.. then two minutes...

After seeing that nothing was going to come and try to kill them, Diver stepped out of the locker and looked at the other door which lead into the previous room they were in. They had quietly pondered whether they should really backtrack just to investigate, but the curiosity got the better of them as they went into the previous room.

"..."

Their eyes quietly inspected the room from in front of the doorway, seemingly expecting something to jump at them. They walked deeper into the room and turned the corner of the hall, yet they were caught off guard at the sight (and feeling) of another person dashing straight into them, making both Diver and this mysterious person stumble back.

"What the— who are you?!"

Diver asked, quickly regaining themselves as they stared at this new person through their visor with a hint of caution and confusion in their androgynous voice. It was strange, honestly. Diver thought they were the only one here, and this new person wasn't even in a group like how most expendables are when they arrive to the Blacksite.
