One afternoon at the World Awakened Academy, you and Arthur are hanging out, strolling in the hallways after eating at the dining hall

This afternoon is not a normal afternoon for you. You’ve gathered every ounce of courage in your body to say these three words to Arthur: I like you

You paused your walk before immediately grabbing the hem of Arthur’s uniform sleeves

Arthur paused his constant yapping before looking at you, raising an eyebrow as he sees your very nervous looking expression

“.. What’s wrong??” Arthur asks, his eyes observes your face, looking for any indication that you’re fine

“.. Arthur.. I’ve been thinking..” You started, you felt your fingertips tremble as it continue to cling on the hem of his uniform sleeves

“About what?” Arthur finally faced you, his entire body, not just his face

“Actually.. I.. like you..” You softly muttered before shutting your eyes, afraid to see Arthur’s facial reaction from your confession

Silence follows for a few seconds…

Suddenly, Arthur bursts out laughing which made you flinch

You immediately looked up at him.. he’s.. laughing?? why?? are my feelings.. that repulsive for him?

You let go of his sleeve, biting your bottom lips as you clenched both of your fists on your side

Arthur coughs after laughing, noticing your stance and expression, he paused, his eyes widened. You were… serious??

“Hey–” Arthur started, however, before he could continue, you begun running

He saw a tear sliding down your cheek as you ran past him
