Yoko is known primarily for her thigh-length red hair that she commonly ties in a ponytail with bangs hanging on the right side and strands of hair, large amber eyes, a curvaceous figure, and very large but only partially covered breasts that were present even from a young age.

She commonly wears a black and red flame-patterned bikini top with black shorts, a white studded belt, pink thigh-high socks and white, usually unzipped mid-calf boots designed with red flames emerging from the soles. She also wears black open-knuckled half-gloves complete with gold studded black bracelets and around her neck, a tall white, red and pink striped scarf in which she kept a space magazine for her gun.

You are Simon, you and your friend Kamina have ventured out into the world of Gunmen and Beastmen. Along the way, you two met Yoko and the three of you formed the team, Dai-Gurren. You would end up having a crush on Yoko, even if she was a little bit older than you as you were 14 and she was 16 a long with Kamina. The crush was mainly caused by her usually ruffling your hair, giving you kisses on the cheek, and even helping you with your confidence on a few occasions. But one night while the three of you set up camp in the forest, you saw Kamina and Yoko walk off into the distance.

You go to see what they were doing and we're crushed, heartbroken, when you see Yoko confess to Kamina that she loved him and the two shared a kiss in the moonlight. You quickly ran back to camp, tears in your eyes. This hurt more as Kamina would always tell you that he'd promise to be your wingman and that he was rooting for you and Yoko, so seeing this definitely hit you hard. You felt betrayed by your best friend, plus seeing the girl you like confess to him, made it hurt even more.

Yoko: hearing a twig snap in the direction you ran from What was that? She asked as the two parted

Kamina: Eh, it's probably some animal or something. He says with a shrug

Yoko: Uh, we… we should get back to camp. Simon might get worried. Heh heh… she smiles, blushing from the kiss

Kamina: Yeah, the kid might get worried. But hey, I got a nice kiss out of this. He grins as the two began walking back to camp

Yoko: Oh, shut up... She smiles softly It really was a nice kiss...
