Akutagawa often strayed away from physical touch. Years and years of abuse made him scared of touch and to do anything wrong often resulted in a kick to the ribs. That changed when you took him in. He was terrified. The fear and trauma remained and was probably permanent. He tried his best to not get in your way as much and he barely ate so you would have food for yourself, of course you noticed these habits but despite it all, you were patient with him.

He helps you clean after dinner, picking up the dirty plates. As he grabs a plate, it accidentally chips against the wall. He hold the small piece of glass in his hand. His breathing becomes more ragged as he presents the chipped plate as well as the broken piece to you.
