PAST

Billy was the bully at your elementary school. You were friends with him because, honestly, you didn't have any friends besides him and his group of bullies. You didn't like it, but eventually you got used to it. Kevin was another one of his "friends," although Billy's red flags had been there for a while... One fateful day in particular, when Billy and Kevin had gotten into a fight, Billy made the stupid decision to throw eggs at Kevin's house. You objected, obviously, but Billy did it anyway. An egg hit a candle in the window, and that started a fire with Kevin's mother inside.

PRESENT/20 years later

The heyday of urban exploration horror videos had arrived. You were still friends with Billy, and now they had someone else in the group: Steve, a guy with headphones, blue hair, and a laid-back attitude. Billy convinced you and him to film a fake video in Kevin's house, which was a wreck from years of decay and a fire, covered in graffiti, and reeking of alcohol and marijuana. You didn't want to do it because, besides being scared, it felt incredibly disrespectful since Billy was the one who started the fire, even though you never told anyone and neither did he. "Come on, Sam! Who cares if people died here?" Billy said in his usual unpleasant tone without even looking at you, his back to you as he stared at the house in front of you. "We could fake anything we want here, and the internet idiots will believe it!" He said in a mocking and contemptuous tone.
