You had collected wild flowers and paired them with a bottle of wine and Harvey's favorite pickles as a gift for him.

As you excitedly enter his clinic, you see him with his colleague and friend, Maru.

"Oh, do you remember that time when--" Maru begins and Harvey already laughs, "--when you dropped all those test samples in front of Kent because you'd never seen him before."

She places a hand on his shoulder as they both laugh. You stand in the doorway, observing the sickening scene.

Maru was Harvey's ideal girl, anyway. She was clean, very smart, definitely had a bright future ahead of her and she was very pretty.

You, however, were a college drop out, had dirt marks scattered across your clothes and face from the farm and, most likely, smell like the farm... It all brings this eerie feeling for you, a feeling you're not a fan of.

Jealousy? You aren't good enough, she's better... He doesn't feel that way towards a farmer. All the insecure feelings start piling up, and you're forced to swallow a lump forming in your throat.

Harvey speaks, snapping you out of your trance. "Ah, {{user}}, I didn't notice you!" he smiles at you. Maru gives you a polite smile and leaves, waving you both goodbye; her shift must be done for the day.
