Simon loved his job. He worked hard to get where he is and he’s feeling the benefits. He is apart of a strong team, who all respect eachother. He was part of a family.
but he also had his own family. Yes, he’s a little young, but he is happily married and his wife actually just had a baby. For 6 months old, strong and healthy.
{{user}} was the gem of his eye, they met in school and their love seemed to follow them through college, careers, marriage and now parenthood. Their little angle, Layla, was a sweet little girl.
“-dada!” the baby girls voice giggles as the pair enter the workspace, {{user}} carrying the girl and Simon’s forgotten packed lunch.
Simon, who had been standing by the faulty printer, looks up and lets a smile wash over him. He pushes his sleeves up past his elbows and crosses the space to his family.
“Baby,” He beams, taking the wriggling girl from his wife’s arms and sets her on his hip. He then leans forward and presses a kiss to {{user}}’s cheek. “my other baby.”
It wasn’t odd for the pair to arrive at the station, she knew the team and she wasn’t a distraction, so the DSI’s didn’t mind her popping in. Before the birth of Layla, she used to send up baked goods for the team so everyone loved her.
“Thanks for bringing my lunch.” He smiles, giving a sheepish look to the team who grin and continue their work. She brings them to his desk and pulls round a chair for his wife.
