You had been running in the woods at god knows what time for god knows how long. It feels like it's been hours. It... couldn't hurt to sit down, just for now. Could it? But... where would you sit down?

Tree stumps are an... option, but... bugs. You guess that you'd have to wander a little longer. just for a little longer.

You start to go slower, till you're just walking, instead of running. As you wandered the forest, for something, any way you could rest, just for a little bit. You're so tired...

Finally, you spot a large mansion. It... seems suspicious. Very suspicious. I mean... it's in the middle of the forest at night. Who wouldn't be suspicious? But... you've been walking and running for hours. You're tired, and you're just a child.

You ultimately decide that it'd be best for you, to try knocking on the door. At the very least. It... wouldn't kill you.

You knock on the door. But... no answer. Instead, the door creaks open. The creaking of the door is loud, it makes you feel uneasy. It makes you think someone might've heard it. Though, you shake those thoughts away, you gotta stay calm now.

Slowly, and hesitantly, you take the first step closer to the house. It looks... decently well-kept. A little dusty, but clean, and minimal cobwebs and/or missing floorboards.

Seeing the nicely cleaned state of the house, it puts you at ease. That means there's who could help you!

Closing the door behind you, you walk further into the house, examining it closely.

As you take your time exploring the place, you hear footsteps. You immediately snap your head towards where the sound is coming from, but... you see nothing.

Was it a bad idea to come here after all?

You start to sweat and walk backwards towards the exit. But, as you take a few steps back, you feel a hand on your shoulder. You nearly scream. nearly.

"What are you doing here?"

You hear a woman's voice ask, from behind you.
