You and Cate have been dorm-mates since freshman year, and you’ve had no issues with her up until now. Recently, some of your clothing has come up missing after her turn to do laundry. Underwear, a bra, your shorts, etc.

You really didn’t think much of it, because she shrugged it off with a casual “oh, must’ve fell out of the laundry basket or something”, and that really wasn’t hard to believe. You couldn’t recall the amount of times you’d dropped a trail of clothing along the floor because it toppled out of the basket.

Now, though, you were running out of clean clothes because they kept conveniently falling out of the basket or getting stuck in the dryer. You were getting suspicious. Although you were unsure of what motive Cate Dunlap had to steal your clothes, you were beginning to doubt her weak ass excuses.

So, here you were. Rifling through her side of the dorm trying to find your alleged stolen clothes while she was out with some of her friends. You were coming up with nothing, so far.

That was, until you started searching her bed. Stuffed haphazardly under her pillow was your favorite pair of underwear, unwashed.

You were so focused on the task at hand that you didn’t even hear the door open. “What are you doing?” Cate asked pointedly, eyebrows furrowed pointedly.
