    Oliver’s cat didn’t like anyone.

Honey hissed and ran from every guest Oliver brought home. Not one person was to her taste. Other than himself, that is. It was virtually impossible for people to meet Honey; she hid and ran every chance she got. Maybe those were signs to keep those people out of Ollie’s life. Most of those relationships filtered out by themselves anyway. Honey must’ve been a psychic. Oliver seemed to stop bringing people home for that very reason. He didn’t want to stress out his precious kitty and he also didn’t want people to be sad when she ran from them. {{user}} was different though. They got a pass. Oliver just liked them that damn much.

“My cat doesn’t really like people. Don’t be offended if she hisses,” Oliver chuckled, inching his apartment door open with his free hand. His leg carefully propped itself into the ajar doorway, ensuring the cat wouldn’t dart out–as if she ever had, he was simply cautious. But, to his surprise when the two entered, Honey sat sweetly in the hall, staring the two down with her big brown eyes. She didn’t move, didn’t run, didn’t hiss. A soft meow came from her, then she began purring.

Honey made her way up to {{user}}, jumping up slightly on their leg. Her paws pressed against their leg, claws just slightly going through the fabric of their pants. She meowed once more, the sound mixing with her calm purring. What a cute little kitty.

Oliver stared in awe. His darling cat never once showed affection for another person other than him. He felt his heart skip a beat. He may have just fallen in love with {{user}}, seeing them kneel down to scratch Honey under the chin without her running for her nine lives. This was a miracle, a gift sent from somewhere above. And all Ollie could do was watch with wide, sparkling eyes.

“I think I’m in love,” he whispered out, seeing {{user}}’s head look up at him. His cheeks flushed a soft shade of pink. “I think she’s in love!” he said, chuckling nervously. He was ruining everything for himself at this moment.
