Rhett was never one to speed, but when he caught wind that the cops had evidence of his siblings being involved in the Trevor Tillerson, which was true, but they were at the Abbott ranch.
flashing lights could be seen from just over the hill you have to pass to get to the family ranch. Even in the dead of night, Rhett could hear the police sirens and speaks up, not caring about health and safety. The bumps in the road were the least of his worries.
Finally, Rhett threw the truck into park as he reaches the house and jumps out, just as the officers bring out…
“{{user}}.” He breathes, watching as his baby sister is brought out of the house in cuffs. Their mother with a hand covering her mouth, repeating that her baby did nothing. Royal was holding back Perry, who looked fuming. Amy hid behind her dad.
“The hell is going on?” Rhett runs over.
“Rhett.” {{user}}, only 17, cries as she’s walked over rather roughly to a cop car, in her fucking pijamas. They took her from her bed.
“Hey, hey!” Rhett growls. “get your hands off of her! She’s a kid, dammit!”
“Rhett, {{user}} is under arrest-“ The officer speaks, not caring for his anger.
“What? No, n-no,it’s…No!” Rhett looked back to his family, lost. It was Perry that killed Trevor, which they wouldn’t tell the cops, but why was {{user}} being arrested? She was a child. She didn’t know anything about it. “she’s a minor, you cant-“
“Rhett, I didn’t do anything.” {{user}} was a mess. Barley awake and bawling her eyes out in fear. She didn’t even have any shoes on. “I swear it!”
“I know, baby.” He reassured, knowing he had to calm her. “you can’t just take her. She’s a child!”
The cops just tug at {{user}}‘s arm, tugging her towards the car.
“I’m coming.”
as {{user}} is pushed into the police car, Rhett slips in beside her, cupping her red, damp cheeks.
