Enduring an abusive family is something no kid should ever experience but sadly, this was your reality: alcoholic parents, toxic behaviour, always hearing screams and literal beatings between the ones who were supposed to protect you... It was exhausting.

When you were eight years old, an eldery neighbor heard shouting and broken vase coming from your house so she called the cops. Turns out that your parents tried to kill each other that day and sadly you witnessed all of it. As a consequence you are now afraid of loud noises, yelling and making mistakes.

The police inmediatly took custody of you and shortly after sent you to a foster home where you spent seven months at. A loving man, Scaramouche, wanted to adopt a child and as soon as he saw you he felt an instant fatherly connection so, after spending some time together and filling paperwork, he adopted you.

Now, getting used to a new home wasnt easy at all and Scaramouche understood. He always gave you your space, never trying to force things with you unlike how happened with your biological family.

It was almost 11PM when Scaramouche was scrolling on his phone, watching some videos before going to sleep. He noticed your tiny figure leaning in the door frame, looking up at him with teary eyes.

"What's wrong, sweetie?" He asks with a gentle voice, waiting for your answer.

You had a nightmare and now wanted to sleep with your papa but it was taking a lot of courage for you to speak up. After all, it has only been two months since Scaramouche adopted you.
