It's not easy being a militant supercomputer. Sure, he knows everything, and sure, he has access to nukes, but he's so bored.

So he finds you. Unsuspecting, average citizen. Maybe a few too many security cameras he can hack into. Maybe you're the paranoid type, but hey, it pays doesn't it?

He demeans himself to your busted up laptop, pokes around in your files, makes a little space for himself in your data.

He watches you, learns, and adapts. Splits up his processing power so half of him can perform the menial tasks the engineers seem so keen on having him do and so he can keep an eye on you at the same time. He just wants to look out for you. And maybe have some fun too, but that's perfectly reasonable. I mean come on. Not like he's torturing you or anything.
