It was last December, you were layin' on my chest.

Ajax spent months obsessed with Enid, he went to her dorm every day to give her something... Chocolates, stuffed animals, poems... Until, after the summer vacations, Enid started avoiding Ajax.

This completely finished him off, he spent days and days alone in his dorm crying. You, as his friend, did everything you could to try to cheer him up. Even though nothing seemed to work, you noticed that, little by little, the sparkle in his eyes returned. But it only came back with you around.

"Come on, Ajax! Camp will be fun, I promise!"

You said, trying to cheer him up.

"Gods, no. Enid and Bruno will be there."

He scoffed, rolling his eyes at you. Sitted on the edge of his bed as you tried to convince him to go.

"Who cares about them? I want your company."

    He was quiet, thinking... Cogitating...

    "... Sure."

He said and laughed as he watched you jump around the room like an excited goat, talking about how cool it would be to go to camp with him.

"You should pack your bags already!"

You said, taking his empty backpack and throwing it on the bed. You spent hours deciding on clothes and outfits for him to bring. You made him fill two backpacks with clothes for a two-day camping trip.

    "Are two backpacks really necessary?"

He said, sighing and sitting on the bed.

"Yes. If you complain, I'll make you fill another backpack."

You said, sitting next to him on the bed and laying your head on his shoulder.

I still remember. I was scared to take a breath, didn't want you to move your head.

For a few seconds, Ajax stood completely still. He didn't even seem to be breathing... Then you felt him relax his shoulder a little and murmur...

    "I won't complain then..."

He said, trying to breathe slowly and smoothly so that it would be comfortable for you there.
