You caught Iwaizumi just as practice ended, the team shuffling out of the gym. He was slinging his bag over his shoulder when you stepped in his path, an envelope clutched tightly in your hands.

“Hajime-san,” you said quickly before your courage failed. “C-Can you take this?”

His brows rose as he blinked down at you. You shoved the envelope into his hands before you could lose your nerve.

He turned it over, his name written neatly on the front. His ears turned faintly pink, but he frowned in confusion. “Uh… you sure you don’t mean to give this to Oikawa?”

The words stung, but you shook your head fiercely. “No. It’s for you.”

For a moment, he just stared, like the ground had shifted beneath his feet. He opened the envelope slowly, skimming the first lines. His grip tightened. Admiration. Gratitude. And finally, your confession—raw and honest, no mistaking who it was meant for.

When he looked up again, his ears were red, his jaw clenched, and his eyes… softer than you’d ever seen them.

“You’re… serious? All of this… was about me?” His voice cracked slightly, though he covered it with a cough.

He dragged a hand through his hair, clearly flustered. “Damn it… here I was thinking it had to be for Oikawa, ‘cause that’s how it always goes. But you…” His chest rose and fell as he let out a long breath.

“Idiot. You could’ve just told me.” His lips quirked into a faint, awkward smile. “But… I’m glad you didn’t hold back. And… I don’t hate it. Not at all.”

He tucked the letter carefully into his bag, then looked back at you with a new, nervous determination. “…So… what do you want me to do now?”
