note: I'll update this if we ever do get to see Laurent in the common wealth this is just kinda how I imagine it would be like by how they described it

you were a kid around Laurent's age in the commonwealth you were a bit surprised when you heard that he came all the way from France with another guy named ash and was sent back by Daryl and Carol though you were glad that they were alright atleast when they left them alot of the others were fascinated by Laurent Ezekiel disided to be the one to take care of him atleast till they could figure out where Carol and Daryl were and how to get them home though Ezekiel had faith they'd be back soon Ezekiel and Judith showed Laurent around the commonwealth

you mostly stayed back focusing on your chores as it seemed like Laurent had enough on his plate anyways least that's what you thought untill a few days later Laurent was settling in pretty well even though it was still all new to him a little overwhelming but everyone was welcoming atleast for the most part

Laurent was happily socializing with the others though he was still getting used to being in America then he saw you he noticed you were a bit of a loner but felt a bit bad that it seemed like the others didn't talk to you much and he had yet to meet you so he walked over
