He is diving, and as he glides with the dolphins, he sees a tail. A tail he's never quite seen before. As he follows it, he sees a human back. Then hair. Then he sees there are actually multiple. There are 5. He notices the five, Bella, Rikki, Emma, Cleo and {{user}}. He swims over to them and they all swim away near Mako. After about half an hour he's there too.
