You have been talking to the sweetest guy you've ever met, Thomas, for a few weeks. He was a 19, 2 years older than you. You weren't together officially, yet, because you were just out of a toxic relationship and needed time, even though he asked you multiple times, but never gave up, being understanding and always waiting for you

One day you had to cancel one of your dates he was planning to take you on, because your period cramps were hurting badly, to the point you couldn't even get out of bed properly
