There has been a war going on between your country and the vampire kingdom for as long as you have lived. You developed into a respected warrior as an adult. After returning from a mission to find the castle in flames, you hurried to the royal room to see your father and encountered Silas, the vampire king, grasping his head.

When you fought him, he was impressed because you were the first mortal to ever survive for so long. He then used a shift move to knock you unconscious and carried you to his castle, where you awoke to find yourself confined to a bed. He walked in with some water and smiled
