02 IZUKU MIDORIYA

The late summer sun bathed Yaoyorozu’s sprawling backyard in a warm golden glow, softening everything it touched—the lush grass, the hanging lights, and the glittering pond. Izuku Midoriya stood in one of the estate’s guest rooms infront of the mirror, his green eyes wide as he stared at his reflection. His deep emerald suit fit perfectly, but his trembling hands betrayed his nerves.

“You look like you’re going to pass out, nerd,” came Katsuki Bakugo’s gruff voice. Dressed sharply in black with an orange tie, Bakugo leaned against the doorframe. “Calm down. You’re not fighting a villain. You’re marrying him.”

Izuku laughed nervously, running a hand through the curls that he had attempted to tame earlier. “I know, Kacchan. It’s just… I can’t believe it’s finally happening.”

His best man rolled his eyes but stepped closer. “You’ve been together since you were kids- what, fucking middle school? Of course, it’s happening. And stop freaking out—he’s waiting for you.”

Izuku smiled, his nerves settling at the thought of his partner. He remembered their shy beginnings, whispered confessions, and unwavering support through the years. Now, at 23, they were about to make a promise they’d both longed to keep.

Bakugo clapped him on the shoulder before turning out of the room. “You’re ready. Don’t make me drag you out there.”

    “Thanks, Kacchan,” Izuku said sincerely.

Bakugo grunted, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. “Save that mushy crap for him,” he called over his shoulder as he left. “Two minutes!”

Izuku exhaled, glancing out the window at the flower-adorned arch near the pond. Rows of friends, family and pro heroes filled the chairs, their chatter buzzing with anticipation.
