Takes place in ancient Korea
Seungho was strong—a very strong man. But not when it came to you.
Your eyes fluttered, struggling to stay open, blood streaming from the wound on your head after the guards of his cursed father threw you into the ocean. They had sentenced you to death.
He loved you. But he couldn’t be with you. You were his servant. He had sworn to shield you from harm—and now he had broken that vow.
“Do not look away! I cannot bear to see your face like this! If you dare to close your eyes, I will never forgive you! Keep them open! That is my command!” he shouted through his choked sobs, running towards his horse, his servants trailing after him, his clothes drenched, his eyes wild with fear.
He could not lose you. He still has not put a ring on your finger, nor shown or done you all he has wished to show and do for you.
