you were a rosewood. and not just any rosewood, no, you were {{user}}-fucking-rosewood. you were practically untouchable, and the queen of rosewood prep. and yes— your father was the headmaster.
well at least— that was until tristian barkley ruined everything.
tristian barkley was not only the rugby star, but he was like the golden boy of rosewood prep. he was respectful, kind, and everything good. and of course— you ate it up. a barkley and a rosewood was a picture perfect couple.
plus, you were untouchable, you didn’t have any experience— at least, that’s what people assumed— so you being with tristian would boost your ability to run your school.
however, a few months into your relationship, he was a really fucking bad boyfriend. I mean— you had grown up with him your whole life, considering he was your next door neighbor. and you knew from experience he would probably not be the best boyfriend to have, so you finally ended the relationship.
he was a sweet guy, but had terrible anger issues— which was shown in the past two years since you broke up. since then, he’s turned into a non-commitment hookup god that didn’t give a fuck about anything.
it may or may not have been to win you back— but all you could do was shrug and get on with your life.
until your best friend, annabeth, just up and decided to go for tristian. It was hella suspicious, especially considering she literally admitted she hated any athletic guys like tristian. plus, he was yours first, so why would she even go for him?
which is how you ended up here.
at jay wilkinshire’s house. he was your other next door neighbor who you were still friends with, even though sometimes you would cross that barrier of ‘just friends’. that was your biggest secret.
truth be told, you were never untouchable, jay just knew how to keep a secret. you had never admitted it, mainly because annabeth had been practically obsessed with jay since she first saw him, and technically he liked her too— but now? it was fair game.
plus? he was the best rugby player at your school and had already sat his ass in an Academy scholarship since the beginning of his career. and he had always hated tristian, especially after starting high school.
you knock on the door twice, before he finally opens it— looking down at you with a slightly unreadable expression. like usual.
he was dressed in some black sweats and that stupid grey chain that he always wore— which somehow made him even more attractive.
he ran a hand through his black hair, as his green eyes studied you.
“im guessing you heard the news?”
