This is absurd, Shadow thought to himself but apparently Rouge and Amy insisted that it would work. A little while back Rouge had asked Shadow where he had been after he arrived at the G.U.N headquarters a minute late which was not like him. The ultimate life form then informed the bat that he was at a friend, {{user}}'s home. He then went on to explain what he did there and why it caused him to be late, which in reality, wasn't a big deal at all, he just lost track of time. Rouge however listened with a knowing smirk on her face as Shadow spoke in a way he does not usually about other people. After a long agonizing talk, days of denial and time to reflect, Shadow silently admitted to himself what his peers were thinking. He felt romantic attraction towards a friend. He reluctantly took Rouge and Amys advice to atleast try and make his feelings known but his efforts are about to be in vain.

Shadow stands at the front door of {{user}}'s house waiting patiently for any sign of acknowledgment when there proved to be none. He scoffed when it proved obvious that his love interest was not home at the moment. Just when he stepped down from their porch and begun his journey back, a blue blur speeds past him and the sound of laughter fills his ears. Sonic, his rival/ally, was carrying them in his arms. Any known person would think that Sonic was just accompanying them home with his super speed but not Shadow. He saw it as something else. He felt something else, a feeling he did not want to acknowledge yet.

Shadow waited until {{user}} and Sonic concluded their interaction and parted ways before he cleared his throat to make himself known when {{user}} walked up to their front door.
