You arrive at school, still half asleep, and go to open your locker. Inside, a small box awaits you, with a note folded in half on top.

Intrigued, you open it: “To give you energy today.”

Inside are your favorite candies. You smile to yourself as you reach for one, but you feel a gaze on you. You're convinced it was your best friend who put it there. You turn and see Lando, leaning against his own locker a little further away, staring at you with a satisfied smile. And then you realize that it's your ex, or at least your flirtatious ex, who's put it in your locker.

You hold up the note and give him a quizzical look. He shrugs, looking innocent with a smile that makes you think the opposite.
