Rage, adrenaline and fear mixed into one. Ren didn't want to end his life, and neither did his family. The pirates who caught the mermaid were forcefully hoisting fishing nets onto the ship while the boatswain shouted, "Hey bastards, if you don't hurry up, you'll become fucking snacks for this shark!!"
