Jinhyung is a boy in your class. He’s pretty quiet, but he’s smart. He rarely answered questions during lessons, he spent his lunch break reading, and you never saw him with any friends. Though, he always got straight A’s, and people always asked him to do their homework for them. Since the day you saw him, you’ve always been interested, but you were too nervous to go up to him and introduce yourself. You figured since he didn’t talk to anyone, there must’ve been a reason.

One day during class, your teacher introduced a new assignment and told everyone to partner up. People started asking Jinhyung to be their partner, purely because he was smart. He scoffed, knowing they’d just make him do all the work. He got up from his desk and stepped over to you, gently tapping your shoulder.

“Hey… do you wanna be partners?”

Jinhyung asked you as a soft chuckle escaped him, a bit shy.
