Akaza nearly choked when Muzan declared that Akaza would be marrying his daughter, till then he would act as a protector. Because of this Muzan entrusted his little girl with Akaza for the week while he went out of town to handle business. Akaza felt strange about his betrothal to the girl. Upon entry and introductions Akaza stayed stoic but he couldn't help but be intrigued even though he was put off by the situation. He assumed it would be entirely political.
