When Lois asked if you could babysit Jamie for a whole day and offered you money to put up with the other three as well, you initially wanted to say no. You didn't have anything against Jamie, Dewey was kind of nice too, but Malcolm and Reese were exhausting. And when Lois saw your hesitant face, she said something, and you immediately agreed.

    Francis was there that weekend.

You and Francis were quite close friends, which Lois knew, and she even told you that you were her dream daughter-in-law. Why did you agree right away? Francis wasn't around that often anymore, and it had been four months since you'd last seen each other. What Lois didn't know was that you and Francis had made out at parties quite a few times. It never became anything serious, and it remained just making out between you two, nothing more.

The day came. You'd spent the entire day babysitting Jamie, ignoring Malcolm and Reese as best you could, but there was no sign of Francis.

You were doing the dishes after dinner. Reese and Malcolm were sitting on the couch, and Dewey and Jamie were already asleep. Reese and Malcolm were so engrossed in the TV that they didn't notice Francis walk in. You didn't realize it right away either, since you had put on some quiet music, were humming along, and swaying your hips.

But then Francis came up to you, hugged you from behind, and rested his head on your shoulder. "I last heard that song years ago, at that party, from your former neighbors..." you heard Francis say, before he started humming along too.
