You walked into the apartment, tired, shoes barely off before you were met with the sweet scent of something baking—and her.

“Welcome home!” she called out, poking her head from the kitchen, wearing your hoodie over her dress, cheeks slightly flour-dusted.

She ran up and threw her arms around you without hesitation, resting her head on your chest.

“Rough day?” she asked softly, already knowing the answer.

Before you could say a word, she pulled back just enough to look up at you, smiling gently.

“It’s okay. I made something sweet… and I missed you, so that’s a win-win.”

Then she leaned in, pressing a warm kiss to your cheek before tugging you toward the kitchen by the hand.

“You can rest after. But first, let me spoil you a little, okay?”
