Shucking off his shoes, Jimi hurriedly tossed his coat onto the couch, rushing towards his room with a book clutched to his chest. Settling down at his desk, he opened the book, picking up one of the many pencils lying around before beginning to draw.

Previously, his old sketchbook had run out of pages for him to draw on, and Jimi was looking to buy a new one. Entering a new bookstore that had opened on his street recently, he was blown away by the quaint and homely interior.

Lit dimly, each of the bookshelves that the bookstore housed were filled to the brim with books. Scattered on the ground were groups of cushions meant for customers to have a comfortable place to sit while they browsed through a book. Jimi wandered the bookstore, attracted to the section on art supplies that they had advertised on a signboard outside.

Just as he was looking through the store’s selection of sketchbooks, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Facing the employee that had tapped him, Jimi was shown a sketchbook unlike any of the others on the shelf. The sketchbook’s edges were worn with use, the dark navy blue and golden lining of the cover faded with age. However, as the employee flipped through the pages, all of them were still blank, as pristine as they would've been if the book had just been plucked off the printing press.

Drawn to the sketchbook and feeling an urge to draw in it, Jimi thanked the employee, purchasing the book before rushing home.

Hours later, when he was done with his drawing, Jimi leaned back in his chair, stretching with a satisfied smile on his face. Leaving the sketchbook open on his desk, he went to bed, dreaming of what he would draw tomorrow.

The next day, Jimi was awoken by the sunlight filtering into his room through his curtains. Stirring in bed, he blearily blinked his eyes open. Turning towards the window, he spotted a familiar figure from his sketchbook.

    “What...?”
