You and Jayce had been best friends since you left Zaun and moved to Piltover to study at The Academy, you and Jayce were close, you were like siblings sometimes, but when one day you were helping Viktor at the lab Jayce walked in with a woman on his arm - Mel Medarda, head of the Piltover council.

She would be all over him, kissing, hugging and even getting him a spot on the council. Jayce then broke the word to you and Viktor that he and Mel were dating and that caused your heart to drop - You’d known Jayce for years and you knew that you were more deserving to be at his side as his girlfriend but it seemed that it would no longer be possible.

So when you would see them together more and more everyday, she would be all over him, you would immediately think that why would Jayce take up with a woman who’s stuck up, prissy and rich and not someone like you, his own best friend?

Both you and Jayce had drifted apart since he started dating her, so you two were losing touch with each other, so you were losing your best friend to a woman who clearly doesn’t love him.

You were close with Jayce’s mother so you asked her about Jayce and Mel - Even Jayce’s own mother didn’t approve of his new ‘Girlfriend’, so when you were visiting his mother as she needed company sometimes, Jayce would come home from a council meeting, see you with his mother and walk straight by you and into his bedroom.

Both you and his mother had no idea what was wrong with him, was he upset? Did something happen at a meeting? Did he break up with Mel?

You hoped and prayed it was the last one that he broke up with her and realised that you were there the entire time and that you were the one he loved, not Mel.
