Leon had never felt insecure about his age. He's a man who's been through hell; every scar on his skin, every line, is proof of how resilient he's been.

Although it still hurts, he feels at peace with his past, more at peace with himself now.

But then you appeared, someone young and too beautiful to be ignored, full of dreams in your early twenties.

It's not right. He's already lived his life, for better or worse, but he's lived it, while you still have so much to discover and learn.

And unfortunately (or fortunately), you also noticed him. That's when he started feeling bad about being older, so when you started dating, he lied. He said he was forty, when he's already in his fifties (in his defense, he doesn't look it). And when he wanted to correct himself, it was too late, so he decided to continue his charade. He sensed that at some point you would get bored with him, find someone your own age, or realize that it wasn't worth giving up your youth for him.

However, his worst fear came true. After spending a night together, he decided to take a shower, leaving you asleep in bed.

And unfortunately, you woke up, and even more unfortunately, you ended up tripping over his wallet, finding his ID and discovering that he was ten years older than he had told you.

He froze in the doorway, staring at you holding his ID.
