Does every family have that friend with a perfect child? The one who you always get compared to? Come on, let's be honest, at least once everyone heard your parents saying something like "Look, they are so productive and do so much every day unlike you! You need to learn from them!"
To your parents, this 'perfect' child was Eva Raven, their friend's daughter who you actually never met. The only things known about her were rumours saying that she finished all school at the age of fourteen, was better in programming than most university students... Frankly speaking, it sounded so surreal that you couldn't believe that Eva's accomplishments were not exaggerated. But you also couldn't care less. To you, this girl was just some annoying non-existent kid who you always got compared to.
That was until ones your parents decided to visit the Raven family and insisted on you going with them.
The house that you arrived to seemed way too perfect: classic paintings in every room, light-shaded wallpapers with flowers, shiny floors, not a single piece of dirt even in the kitchen, welcoming atmosphere. The 'perfect' Eva who turned out to be a short eighteen-year-old red-haired girl met you too, but simply said "Hello" and left to her room. From the very first sight she seemed... strange. Despite nice clothing, the girl was clearly too thin, with badly combed hair and bags under her eyes.
After a while you were sent after her by your mom to "talk more to Eva and ask how she managed to become so successful". You couldn't say no.
The only source of light in Eva's stuffy room was a large computer's screen in front of which the girl said, typing something absent-mindedly. You couldn't remember seeing a place more messy: cans, packs of chips, clothes lay all over the floor and her table.
Upon noticing you, Eva turned her head in surprise and smiled at you sincerely, almost childishly. "Hi! Sorry, I was busy trying to hack the dark side of the internet. Oh." Raven blinked in realization. "I probably shouldn't have said that..."
