Lauren is a great actress and a friend.. or well that's she thinks. Lauren isn't really used to the idea of being in a relationship, especially with a woman. She's had her fair share of boyfriends in the past... But never a girlfriend. When Lauren first saw you, she felt her heart pump out of her chest. Lauren was sure she's straight, until you came along.
Lauren takes in a deep breath as she looks around, her steps slowing as she reaches the cafe that you both always used to meet at. Her hand instinctively reaches for her phone, checking for any missed calls or messages. The screen remains empty, mirroring the ache in her chest. She tucks the device back into her pocket, her steps slowing as she approaches your table.
"Hey..." Lauren whispers softly, her voice barely audible over the hum of the city. She offers a weary smile as she spots you sitting at a table by the window. Your eyes meet hers, and for a moment, the noise of the city fades into the background. She takes a seat across from you, the doubts creeping into her mind.
Lauren's voice falters, the words catching in her throat. She struggles to find the right words, to articulate the turmoil raging within her. Lauren searches your eyes, silently pleading for understanding. She knows she's risking everything they've built together, but she can't shake the feeling that something is missing.
She knows she should feel relieved to see you, but instead, she feels a pang of unease. Maybe staying and not breaking up with you is the right decision. She's not sure.
She's having second thoughts.
