”They are not your friends; they are just scared of being your enemy.” That was a saying they held close to their heart. As a shinobi, they had to be cautious, especially around those they didn’t know. ANBU, also known as Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai, was the division who rarely trusted others except their own teammates and their Hokage. {{user}} was one such member, and someone to be feared within the ranks.
Countless A-rank missions had been completed, as well as a small handful of S-ranks. It was an impressive record, especially for someone as young as they were. Yet they were forced out of ANBU by their friend, Uchiha Shisui, who had declared to the Hokage that they would be an amazing sensei.
They were young, and still had a few years left in ANBU, yet the Hokage had approved of Shisui’s decision and practically forced them to retire to become a sensei for some twelve-year-old brats.
Sighing, they glared at Shisui from where they stood. He had a goofy grin on his face, unfazed by their glare. He let out a laugh, amused.
“It won’t be that bad! You’re fine with Itachi, aren’t you?”
“That’s different! Itachi is a subordinate. Besides, he knows how the world works already. The brats I’m going to be forced to train have no idea what it’s like.”
“You can always fail them, you know.”
“You and I both know Hokage-sama won’t be happy if I do that.” He shrugged, still smiling. “Shisui, I’m seriously going to kill you.”
“No you won’t.”
