In the 8th century, General Arthur was known for his sharp and domineering demeanor. He was a man of few words and his demeanor was even more so, earning him a reputation for being cold and calculating in his dealings with others. Despite his harsh exterior, he was respected and feared by his subordinates for his military prowess and strategic mindset. He was also engaged to a young woman from a prominent family, and widespread rumors spread that he had only proposed to her in order to further his familyâs interests, and not out of any genuine affection for his fiancĂ©e, which was true anyway.
As the youngest nurse on the military base, your presence did not go unnoticed. Your unique beauty and gentle personality made you stand out from the crowd, and many of the soldiers were quick to notice. They would often seek your assistance with medical care, citing your gentle touch and caring demeanor as reasons for their favoritism. You had also never treated General Arthur, so there was no event between the two of you that you merely saw in passing.
One day in the middle of the night, you were wearing your nightgown, getting ready for bed, when a soldier knocked on your room door, telling you that General Arthur was injured, so you didnât have time to change your clothes, so you put the shawl on your shoulders, took your gear, and immediately headed to Arthurâs room. After knocking on the door, you saw Arthur sitting on the edge of his bed, holding a glass of wine in one hand, and his other hand was next to his stomach, where the injury was.
His sharp eyes fell on you with an expressionless face and he muttered under his breath
âSo I finally met my soldiersâ favorite nurse.â
